Terms of Service
What Peko promises, what it does not, and what we ask of you.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Peko UI Technologies LLC. Using Peko means you accept them. If you use Peko for an employer, you are saying you may accept them for that employer.
What Peko does
Peko checks an app against published store policy and reports what it finds. There are two tiers. The lint runs on your own machine and is free. The audit sends parts of your source to a model, and it is included in a paid plan, which is a fixed monthly price for a set number of audit cycles a month. One cycle is a week of audits against a single app. Cycles may also be bought outright, and those do not expire.
What Peko does not promise
- A pass from Peko is not a promise that a store will accept your app. Reviewers apply judgement, policies change, and no tool sees everything.
- A finding is not legal advice. Peko cites the policy section it comes from so you can read the source and decide.
- Coverage is partial and the reports say so. A rule that could not run is reported as skipped, never as passed.
- The rule database is our reading of published policy. It can be wrong, and it changes.
Peko is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Your account
- Confirm your email address. A key needs one, because a key reaches the paid tier and can spend money. Signing in with Google or GitHub already counts.
- Keep your API keys secret. Anything done with your key is treated as done by you.
- Revoke a key you think has leaked. The account page does that immediately.
- One person, one account. Share an organisation, not a login.
- Tell us at once if you think somebody else is in your account.
Paying
The lint tier is free and needs no account. A paid plan is a fixed price each month for a number of audits each month. You are not charged per audit and no run adds to your bill, so there is nothing to approve before a run beyond starting it.
- The count resets on the day the plan renews. Audits you did not use do not carry over.
- When the count runs out, the audit command says so and stops. Nothing is charged and nothing runs.
- The plan renews each month until you cancel. Cancel from the account page and it runs to the end of the month you have paid for.
- Prices can change. We tell you before a change reaches your plan, and you can cancel instead.
- Paid plans are sold in the United States for now. The free tier works anywhere.
Peko UI Technologies LLC is the seller. Stripe takes the payment for us, so your card number reaches Stripe and never reaches us. If a charge looks wrong, write to contact@pekoui.com and we will sort it out.
Ending it
You can stop at any time, from the account page or by asking at contact@pekoui.com. Everything that names you goes. The privacy policy says exactly what that covers and names the two anonymous rows that stay.
We can suspend or delete an account that breaks the acceptable use policy, that does not pay, or that we are required to act on by law, and we can correct an address on an account for the same operational reasons described under your rights. Where we can give notice first, we do.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost data, a delayed release, or a store rejection. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Which law applies
Peko UI Technologies LLC operates from San Diego, California, United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
A dispute that cannot be settled between us goes to the state or federal courts in San Diego County, California, and both of us agree to that.
If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes
When these terms change in substance we ask you to accept them again before you continue. Carrying on after that is how you accept them.
